The Philippine Nurses Association of South Texas Rio Grande Valley Chapter stimulates and promotes the professional and personal growth of the Filipino Nurses in the valley.

Community Outreach/ Projects:
Participation in health fairs and activities and projects provide an avenue to meet career ladder requirements of different hospitals and fulfill one’s personal goals.
Mentoring:
Promotes professional growth through opportunities to learn from local, national and international mentors with expertise in clinical, administrative, research, education and entrepreneurship.
Career development: Attendance at meetings and committee involvement will entitle members to earn merits that could be utilized for career ladders or free registration at national meetings and seminars.
Newsletter
Formation of a local newsletter is in progress. Will contain relevant information and articles related to our organization and current issues affecting nursing practice. PNAA newsletter is distributed to each PNA chapter member.
Meetings:
General Assembly meetings are held quarterly on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Location will be alternated among different hospitals in the valley and will be announced one month before the next meeting.
Executive board meetings are held every 2nd Tuesday of the month. Venue willbe announced prior to the meeting.
Awards and Scholarship:
Foster collegiality through annual recognition of outstanding professional achievement of our members
Annual scholarship awards are given to deserving nursing students of Filipino ancestry
Educational Program:
Free continuing education programs with contact hours to meet the different needs of members.
Reduced registration is given to members on special events.
Networking:
This is a good opportunity to meet with other Filipino nurses in the valley and develop relationships, solve and find solutions to problems, share information and build a support group for the betterment of the Filipino nursing workforce.
PNAST RGV is a chapter member of the Philippine Nurses Association of America.
